Hello. I have a question... I plan on starting a classifieds website for the local community and in the 'garage sale/yard sale' section I need an ability for users to post ads without "price" field.Is it possible?
Sure - you can take the price field out by simply telling the package not to display it for usergroups you define. This can all be done in the admin control panel for 68C.
Actually, I don't think that solves his issue. I believe he is saying that he doesn't want the price field for the category, not a usergroup. The better solution is to simply not show the price in the ad when being viewed which has come up several times in these forums. I think Eric even made a module for it. -Mike
Yes right now it is an all or nothing setting. You can disable the price field but it is global to all categories. In my custom category module I have added the ability to hide the price on a per category basis but it only works with v4.1 beta because it requires jQuery.
That module is free I beleive. Check out ClassifiedMods for various modules available from various sources.
