These are instructions for setting up Paypal through 68 Classifieds administration.
Located at: Administration → Payment → Payment Providers → Paypal
- Payment Provider Name
- Enter the name of the payment provider here.
- Show As
- If you have multiple forms of payment setup, your customers will have a choice as to which method they prefer. Enter the value you would like your customers to see such as “Credit Card”, “Paypal” or “Mastercard, Visa” (without the quotes.)
- Active
- Place a check in the box to make this payment provider active. If this box is not checked, the payment provider will not show up in the payment provider list during checkout.
- Demo
- If you would like to test the payment provider settings, place a check in the “Demo” box.
- Paypal email address
- Enter the email address that you use at Paypal here.
- Currency Code
- Enter your currency code here. Valid choices are:
AUD (Australian)
USD (U.S. Dollar)
EUR (Euro)
GBP (Pound Sterling)
CAD (Canadian Dollar)
JPY (Yen).
NZD (New Zealand Dollar)
CHF (Swiss Franc)
HKD (Hong Kong Dollar)
SGD (Singapore Dollar)
SEK (Swedish Krona)
DKK (Danish Krone)
PLN (Polish Zloty)
NOK (Norwegian Krone)
HUF (Hungarian Forint)
CZK (Czech Koruna)
ILS (Israeli Shekel)
MXN (Mexican Peso)
If omitted, all monetary fields will be interpreted as U.S. Dollars. This can be found on
Paypal's website.
Once you have entered your Paypal information on this screen, you will need to login to your Paypal account and activate IPN (Instant Payment Notification). Here are the steps for activating IPN (from Paypal's website).
Log in to your PayPal account.
Click the Profile subtab.
Click the Instant Payment Notification Preferences link in the Selling Preferences column.
Click Edit.
Click the checkbox and enter the
URL to which you would like to receive
HTML posts. This would be http://www.yoursite.com/paypal.php
Click Save.
You have successfully activated IPN.

If you have followed the steps and your site is still not approving orders placed through Paypal then please try the debugging steps below:
$debugmode=FALSE;
Change it to TRUE. Then run another transaction and you should get an email with a bunch of debug information. Take this and post it on our forums for help or submit a ticket.
